RESIDENTIAL

WORKSHOP 3D has designed custom homes throughout the Northwest, on Whidbey Island, Oysterville, Gearhart, Southworth, and Seattle, and has remodeled numerous others in Edmonds, Mercer Island, Ballard, and elsewhere.

Below is a model of a custom Whidbey Island home for which we were awarded a Citation by the American Institute of Architects

The design of this bathroom for an existing International Style home in Edmonds is a good example of the level of energy and attention to detail that WORKSHOP 3D brings to every project.

The vanities to the left and right were custom designed to meet the specific needs of the male (left) and female (right) occupants of the home, and a full-sized mockup was made to test both functionality and construction details.
Custom Residence
Historic Barn, with Stone Cow This project for the adaptive re-use of an historic barn in Oysterville, Washington won our second Citation from the American Insitute of Architects.

The cow in the foreground represents the concept of a familiar form rendered in alternative materials and technology.
WORKSHOP 3D recently designed this house for MLW General Contractor. It features a full two bedroom unit on each of the main and upper floors, with additional sleeping lofts and exterior balconies. There is also a studio mother-in-law unit at the lower level which can be used as a part of the main residence or occupied independently. Each has a separate entrance, and all have access to the laundry and storage areas in the basement. The project is a remodel of a small Ballard bungalow on an otherwise impossible to develop short platted site. MLW House
